Registrations for the 2026 Fall Season open April 25th at 9AM!
We are excited to offer competitive flag football for ages 7 to 10! Flag football for ages 6 and under will remain non-competitive. Fall 2026
Ages
GVYF offers 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U flag football for players age 4 to 12 on 7/31/2026.
When
The season begins with the first practice during the week of July 27th and games are played weekly between August 22nd and October 3rd. Playoffs begin October 10th with the championship games on October 24th.
Where
Games are held at Canyon View Park.
Practices
Practice locations vary by team.
8U, 10U, and 12U teams may hold up to 2 practices of up to 1-1/2 hours per week.
6U teams may hold a single practice of up to 1-1/2 hours per week.
Games
Games will be held on Saturdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm during the season dates above.
Equipment
GVYF provides game jersey, mouth guard, and flags.
Playing Time
Players will receive a minimum of 10 plays per game. However, it is the expectation of GVYF that if a player attends practice and is not subject to discipline, they will receive beneficial playing time amounting to a near equal amount for all players.
Roster Sizes
Team rosters will be formed of approximately 7 to 10 players. Actual team size will vary depending on overall participation.

What documentation is required to sign up?
You will need to provide a copy of your player's birth certificate.
What team will my child play on?
Teams are assigned based on age (as of 7/31/2026). If you have a team or coach preference, you will be given the opportunity to provide your preference during registration. If you do not have a team or coach preference, your player will be assigned to an available team closest to your home address.
When will I hear from my child's coach?
Expect to hear from the coach about 1 to 2 weeks before the start of practice.
What if the team in my area does not have enough players?
If a team fails to meet the minimum required players to safely participate, those players will be assigned to another team that is below the maximum. We will strive to keep players as close to their home boundary as we can.
What if the team in my area is full?
Once a team reaches the maximum number of players, players will begin to be assigned to an overflow team in that area. If the overflow team does not meet the minimum number of players required, they will be combined with another team that has not reached the maximum. What is the latest I can register?
Registrations will be accepted until August 8th or until all teams are at capacity.

July 16th - August 8th: $175 (8U, 10U, & 12U), $150 (6U)
